100 Club

Menith Wood’s Community Association also runs a 100 club. It’s primarily a relatively painless way of raising some money (to pay towards the upkeep of the hall etc), but it can also be a way of us, the villagers, winning some fairly neat prizes.

At the start or the year for the princely sum of £10 you can choose a number between 1 and 100 (hence the name, and assuming that your chosen number hasn’t already been picked by someone else). Once a month from March to December, Roy Lilley draws two lucky numbers out of the hat – first prize and second prize. The winners are published each month in Temespan. In recent months the prizes have included a round of golf for two at Cleobury Mortimer Golf Course, a family ticket to the West Midlands Safari Park, a selection of quality toiletries and a voucher for Webbs of Wychbold.

If you would like to buy a number (or two – more chances to win!), you can either call Angela on 881210 or talk to a member of the Community Association.
